LOW MAINTENANCE

Surprisingly that many of my colleagues were asking me if there are any secrets that I’d like to share how I managed to look younger than my actual age. In fact, there is no secret at all and I am damn honest about it. Not much of a salon fanatic because I’m that frugal and going to spend moolah just to keep my skin and hair looks like camera ready or somehow similar to what a billionaire’s wife has which screams “gorgeous at all times”.  No, and I’m not shy to admit that I’m lazy to have maintenance every month or bi-weekly.

This entry is neither will score as a review but I don’t have any problems sharing what my trusted products are. At least, I’m not selfish not to share what I’ve been relying on for years that will give justice how I look human when I’m at work. Lol!

Definitely it was unforeseen that you will catch me all glammed up every single day. No and never will a lazy girl like me will do that. Yes, I’m that lethargic that even replying to text messages will take days (say a week or so?) A co-worker once told me she saw me one Sunday at SM Masinag which I consider second home and at first she’s all hesitant to approach me because of ambiguity that I am in my pambahay mode with shirt preferably statement tee, shorts and flippies; a far cry from the office attire that she’s adapted to. If only I can wear these set at work, why not?! Nothing beats comfort plus no make-up. Teehee. I don’t wear make-up daily, and unlike the other girls out there with “Fashion over Comfort” me it’s the other way around. But I’m not reproachful if this makes them beautiful. Walang basagan ng trip. Haha!

I have beauty regimen like every girl has, mine is just so, so basic! Pang high school to be precise. Wash your face, apply moisturizer and voila! I’m done. See? It is less than 5 minutes and I’m so done. After I shampooed my hair and applied conditioner, I just blow dry them to make it look less of a bird’s nest. Apply a serum and again, I’m done. Haha! Lazy chick.

Don’t get me wrong, but I had days were I was doomed because of pimples. Many would have contradicting statement to this whenever I say it, but it’s true. I had chickenpox when I was in college and I was so mortified that my face suffered the most. Lakas maka-dalmatian as what I always joke it about.

How the marks vanished? Now, here are the products that I can swear and attest to because yours truly used them. Forgot how much consumption I had made but I’m happy with the result.

Pond’s pearl cream – This one has the magic powers for a price of Php 35. Amazing isn’t it? It did live to its promise that marks can be removed. Don’t expect an overnight result though; I think I had 4 canisters before everything diminished.

Pond’s facial wash (clear solutions anti-bacterial) – Been using this for years and I hardly get zits. No wonder this product is “award winner”

Olay moisturizer – First time this product reached Philippines’ shores, I was ecstatic! Before, my Mom and I have been religiously applying Oil of Ulan (which later on changed to Olay) because my Dad (who used to work overseas then) never forgets that his ladies need this.

Vitamin E and Vitamin C – I may have missed my Google hits in a day, but never my vitamins! It pays to have clear skin; it will make you look healthier.

Water – Just keep drinking water to hydrate your skin. It will do wonders, trust me on this :)

Lotion – Apply it after you have taken your shower and before bed time. I can’t sleep without putting lotion on my feet, I dunno why but yes it’s a trade secret I’m giving away. Haha! I use Myra E Vita-firm and keep Johnson’s baby lotion in milk in my bag.

Taking care of yourself doesn’t need to be pricey. With the right products that work best for your skin, continue using it. Avoid trying each and every manufactured goods that is out on the market because your favorite celebrity is endorsing it or if your friends say so. We have different skin types, and what may have worked for them may not be suitable for you. So be careful, okay?

PS:

These are not product reviews or a sponsored post. I just came up with the idea that aside from the questions I’ve been getting, they would want to know why I don’t look haggard even if I’m already up for more than 24 hours and counting. I guess no secret just the right way on properly managing your skin as you aged gracefully.
