Practically,
I will be sitting in my office chair in a few hours wearing my olive green
sleeveless dress with drawstring to give a more feminine look at the waist
because I need it for my boyish figure. The gold collar accent of the dress
gives it a more modern look yet formal completed with my ever reliable New York
(which I love calling it that way) cardigan in deep gray to give my dress a
more polished look suitable for office wear and for sure, my feet is wearing my
latest pair of sandals (which I’m cheating about because it is rubber however,
it doesn’t look like one though so I’m safe) embellished with yellow gold
stones to suit its tone of golden yellow, tan and gold complementing still the
yellow palette. Definitely, I will be wearing my rimless eyeglasses because I
am now admitting to be fully dependent on it – tsk! My eyes got refracted lately
and now it is at 100 and 75 which technically seems to make my hair color
pop-out even more because my eyes are visible not mentioning that my eyebrow
matured in a span of “over the weekend” to have a lighter shade to match my
hair dye. In short, my look transformed to a much woman version though my short
hair makes me go back to being a 12 year old.
But before I
busied myself for another week, which I know I’ll be swamped unquestionable for
the reason that. First, I was on leave for 4 days and with the phone calls I answered
during my off, it is a clear validation that it will be hectic once I get back
to work. There will be 300+ emails that I’m looking forward to reading after I put
down my bag and my lunch kit the moment I arrived at my desk. Second, I want to
focus on some projects that I’m planning to accomplish before the month ends. Third,
I need to squeeze everything in the next 4 days for I want to be on the Insidious
2 movie that we’re planning to watch this Friday. Not to mention that I have
several plans for this upcoming week such as: coffee dates with my besties, a
meeting with a leader which I booked (yes, I am now ready to talk to her.
Phew!) Dinner with my other sisters, there are some errands that I need to
finish before I have these series of interviews granted which were requested by
college students for their school project. So many things, eh? However, I am
equipped with the energy before all these tasks are about to happen. This was
how I will start my day right, meeting with my sissies on a Sunday :)
Sunday will
always be a day that I’ve always wanted to spend with the people close to my
heart. We started our day with a brunch date with my fellow sissies from the
community. Original plan was to attend the 9AM mass then we will have our
brunch afterwards. However, it didn’t push through but that was totally fine.
What matters most is we were able to have a date! It’s been a while since we
get to hang out (I mean the four of us complete). Tin, Ven, Lily and I were my
batch mates when we joined SFC (Singles for Christ). For sure, this will be a
monthly event as everybody agreed that we need this for catching up and bonding
at the same time.
Wondering
what went through the conversation which lasted for hours? Simple. Girl talks
will always comprise of fashion, food, catching up with our work (which
definitely keep each of us busy), what’s the latest from one another, beauty
tips and best finds, punch lines, pieces of advice and boys. Haha! The last one
was actually a joke and we didn’t talk about boys. However the highlight was
how I misread something which totally contradicts how Lily read it. And you
know what happened next – laughing till we ran out of air. Wanna know what this
word is? Definitely I’m not sharing because it is better to hear it than to
read it. Lol! #excuse
Spending time
with your friends is something that you must look forward to always. I have
friends from work, too which definitely will make me as the little sister in
the group. All are men and doesn’t have a sister so that’s something I’m
thankful for. Not only you are spoiled from your instant kuyas but the fact
that they will fight for you if someone tries to gang up on you, swerte diba? Plus
they are protective and caring, too. Especially when it comes to matter of the
heart – meaning, they will screen those trying to get your attention or at
least bold enough to come up to me and asked me “Bakit di ka nag rereply sa
texts ko?” Wow ha?! Lupet mo men! Haha! Yes, this actually happened one time
and I need to message my “kuyas” for rescue and they came up to my cubicle
pretending we have a meeting. Galing diba? *clap clap* Couldn’t be thankful
enough for these bruskos who always laugh at may corny jokes and boy tondo
moves during brunch/lunch time but still treat me like a princess until I get
to meet my prince. Haha! Thaaaank you! *bow*
My SOLEMATES
(Tin, Lily and Ven) will always have that spot in my heart. I’d never get to
have a little sister and having these sisters in faith makes me responsible
enough as a big sister whenever we are together. Also, I love spending time
with these kiddos because even they are younger than me, I learned from them
most of the time. Number will never be a baseline in getting lessons from
someone. Admit it, even a toddler can make you smile because there are salient
points you will consider that their thoughts are worth keeping.
In a span of
more than one year, yet we still learn and grow from one another – this is a
continuous process that shouldn’t stop. Constant communication, coffee sesh and
exchange of which book to read helped us a lot, especially in growing more maturely
on our spiritual aspects.
Don’t get me
wrong if you seem to think that I only have 3 friends from the community – NO.
I’ve got 3 more sisters that I actually hang out with as well, but we are on
the same age bracket like late 20’s. The closest to me from the group is whom I
call “twinny” she is Josine. There were times that we stayed as late as 3 in
the morning chatting! As mentioned, we are on the same age group so we are
legal to stay later than midnight. Oh, the perks of being a young adult –
liberty to stay longer or way past your curfew during Fridays. I love my age! Haha!
Looking forward to a get together with twinny, Ivy and Darren later this week!
Meaning, kwento overload from one another to make up for almost 2 months with
no bonding time. I really can’t wait. Teehee.
