Seems that my blog post is
a bit spelled creatively once more right?
We’re supposed to start by
8 in the morning of Sunday, but yes as always (and forgive me) for being COD –
Cause of Delay in most events, we started before 9AM. Thank you to my sisters
who never get tired of excusing my tardiness no matter how badly I tried to
make it on time. I’m working in fixing my schedule, believe me but it’s always
not as what I expected it to be. I’ll work even harder on that part of my life,
I promise ;)
Always start with a prayer
– I never can argue on this one, in whatever you do you do it for the LoRd. In
events like this, we as Christians must start and end everything with a prayer.
To break the ice, we had a
small activity and each and everyone was given a paper (with tea pot drawing
on it!) and a pen so we can start writing what makes our sister beautiful. Believe
me; most of us were also surprised when we read what others think of us. In all
conscience, it was hard to believe what I was reading on that very moment of
what others think of me.
What hit me big time from
all the adjectives written inside my tea pot, this one made me ponder real hard
– WOMAN of STRENGTH. Most of the time when I was about to give up, still
I can [somehow] convey the message that I am [still] strong and I can surpass
whatever challenge comes my way. Because if God puts you there, He will help
you get through it. In every problem He gives His children, He knows that we
can handle it.
God makes us weak in order
for us to call for His help.
Next is SUPPORTIVE of
OTHERS. If someone asks me for help, the common answer I give is yes. Time
is the only thing I can generously give to others. Support them in each way
possible as long as I can. If one of my friends needs help in achieving
something, I will be more than willing to help. As long as I can, there is no
reason to hesitate. In helping others achieve their dreams, I am meeting people
along the way that help me reach mine, too.
For the past months, I
always received a text saying “Saan ka?” | “San ka?” which I know for a fact
that a meeting is cooking up and I have been mostly around the Metro to meet
who needs my time. Yes, ang dami ko
kasing time. Haha! Most of my friends had different battles, challenges
that test their faith. I, regardless how busy I am, as long as I can fit it in
my schedule, I will. If not, still I’ll make a way. In times like this, I am
reminded of my duty and responsibility as a Christian.
With what was written on
my tea pot, it made me blushed and my initial reaction was “Ay! Ganito pala ako. Hehe” I am the worst person existed on earth
that cannot handle even a single compliment. As opposed to saying “Thank You” I
just rolled on the floor and died.
The light in the dark – I
didn’t think I am one.
Very beautiful inside and
out – I died with the word very on this one.
Very courageous | Christ
centered – again with the word very made me died the second time.
Loving daughter |
Responsible daughter – thank you!
Appreciative | Smart –
thanks.
Strong willed | Understanding
| Loving | Strong faith in Christ – those were so kind words that made me think
that this is me.
Textmate | Loving | Caring
– time is what I always give generously.
Work devoted – :)
After each and everyone
picked their top 2 that and shared it with the group, Karen said that we are
beautiful. If someone says “Ang ganda mo” or “Pretty” or “Beautiful” believe
that someone who said that, because God made us beautiful and we are perfect
creatures like our sisters and brothers.
I’m still learning how to consent
such accolades though but I’m trying. I didn’t grow up accepting praises from
my friends when the word “beauty” is already present. If a friend or a
co-worker I bumped into the lift and says “Ang ganda mo Lexi” or “You look good
today” or “Always blooming ha?!” my initial reaction ALWAYS is “I’m just next
to you” seriously, I don’t take it as it is because being beautiful for me is
like a beauty queen with silky straight hair, tall slim body while I’m on the
complete opposite. But then again, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder,
lol! Seriously, I read an article at Cosmo one time that we, as women, we need
to say “thank you” from compliments as such that we get to let the them feel
and appreciate what they have said to you.
Enough of the “pretty” and
I’m starting to get shy.
Another one I can’t get
enough of reading over and over is the Love Letter from God. By reading this, this
reminds us women that we are special and we are indeed His princess, daughter
or angel.
What did you notice with
these photos? Like Ven said, the “Ate Sheila” pose. Yung naka tingkayad. Haha! Meet Ven, Ivy and
Darren.
I hope this entry gets to inspire you [even in a little] as much as the assembly itself inspired me big time.
i agree with what they wrote on your paper.
ReplyDeleteAwwww thanks Sandy!
Deletenice post again lexi!
ReplyDeleteThanks Justine!
DeleteYou inspires most of us at work. We admire you that despite your achievements, you remained the old Lexi that we used to know. Humble, makulit, kalog and always ready to help. Continue being a blessing to all of us. Keep helping, and we wish you happiness maam. I hope someday boss, mag kaka lovelife ka rin. Napaka swerte naman boss ng magiging bf mo since ikaw na yata ang crush sa floor ng mga boys. Puro Lexi, ayan na si Lexi. Naka abang sa pag daan mo. Hehe.
ReplyDeleteI know God is going to give you the best because you are always at your kindest heart helping others, loving others. I'm sure your family is lucky and proud of you.
Stay the same and may God bless you always boss!

ReplyDeleteHaha! Thanks Mike!
DeleteYou bring life to a crowded room. Especially whenever you enter a room of people, most of us stop and look at your smiling face.
ReplyDeleteEpitome of real Christian woman.
Always standing every after storm, never in an instance stoop down to someone's level to create a scene.
Life of the party, kaya sabi nila "nakakagalit ang ganda mo" dahil bet ka ng bet namin. But after all, it's just a joke. We appreciate you treating gays equally same as how you treat boys and girls.
-Bee-
Thanks Bee! Natawa ako sa "nakakagalit ang ganda mo" negative ba ito or positive? :)
